Product Introduction
Power fittings are a general term for metal accessories used in power transmission and distribution systems to connect, fix, protect and splice conductors and insulators, as well as mount electrical equipment on poles and structures.
You can imagine them as the joints and framework of the power system. Just like building a LEGO model, besides the main blocks (conductors, cables, insulators, iron towers), various special connectors (such as pins, adapters) are needed to assemble them firmly and reliably—these connectors are power fittings.
Main Features
• Material: Usually made of malleable cast iron, steel, aluminum, aluminum alloy and other metal materials, requiring high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
• Standardization: Strict national and industry standards for dimensions, specifications and performance to ensure universality and safety.
II. Application Scope of Power Fittings
Power fittings have an extremely wide range of applications; they are indispensable wherever overhead lines or power equipment installation is involved, mainly in the following scenarios:
1. Transmission and distribution overhead lines: The most concentrated application area of fittings, including
◦ High-voltage/ultra-high-voltage transmission towers (e.g., ±800kV DC, 1000kV AC lines)
◦ Urban and rural distribution lines (e.g., poles for 10kV, 35kV lines)
2. Substations/converter stations: For fixing and connecting various busbars, down-leads and electrical equipment inside the stations
3. Cable lines: For fixing, hanging and protecting cables
4. Power communication facilities: For fixing optical cables and other communication lines
5. Building electrical installation: Also applied in distribution rooms and electrical shafts of large buildings
